What is SAWYD?
SAWYD is a private digital legacy platform for creating future messages for the people you love. You can write or record messages, choose when they should be delivered, and keep them connected through your personal SAWYD ID.
Who is it for?
SAWYD is for anyone with something important to say. It can be used by parents, partners, family members, close friends, or anyone who wants to prepare words for a future moment.
How does delivery work?
When you create a message, you choose how it should be delivered: on a specific date, at a life moment, or after trusted confirmation. You stay in control of the recipient, timing, and delivery conditions.
What are trusted contacts?
Trusted contacts are people you choose to help confirm important future deliveries. They do not have access to your private messages. Their role is only to help confirm whether a delivery condition has been met.
Why do 2 contacts need to confirm?
Requiring more than one confirmation helps prevent mistakes. One accidental click should not trigger an important message. The confirmation process is designed to add an extra layer of care before sensitive messages are delivered.
What is the check-in system?
If your account is inactive for a long period, SAWYD can send check-in emails. If there is still no response after repeated check-ins, your trusted contacts may be asked to help confirm your status before any messages connected to trusted confirmation are delivered.
Can I write video messages?
Yes. You can create a written message or upload a private video message. You can also add a written note alongside a video.
Can I edit or delete a message after saving it?
Yes. As long as the message has not been delivered, you can edit or delete it from your dashboard.
Is my data private?
SAWYD is private by default. Your messages are not posted publicly, used as content, or shown before the delivery conditions you choose. Trusted contacts cannot read your messages. You control who receives each message and when it should be delivered.
What is a SAWYD ID?
Your SAWYD ID is a unique identifier connected to your private legacy account. The first 10,000 members receive a purely numeric ID — for example, SAWYD-0415. These are Generation 01 IDs. After Generation 01 is complete, all future IDs will use a 7-character mix of letters and numbers, keeping every ID unique across over 78 billion possible combinations. Your SAWYD ID begins by connecting your messages and trusted contacts. Over time, it can become the foundation for future legacy tools — one private place for the things you choose to preserve.
What happens if SAWYD shuts down?
SAWYD is being built with long-term care in mind. As the platform grows, we plan to provide clear export and continuity options so users can access their important messages and records if major service changes ever happen.
Is SAWYD free?
SAWYD is free to start. You can create your first message and receive your SAWYD ID. Additional messages, video storage, and future legacy tools may be offered as paid options.
